The Careers Group, University of London is strongly committed to providing an excellent service to all of its clients, whether they have a disability or not. The Careers Group is continuously seeking to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, the Disability Discrimination Act 2005 and Special Educational Needs and Disability Act (SENDA) 2001.

In addition to its current provision, The Careers Group continues to review its facilities and services to enable disabled users to use them more effectively.
The Careers Group has outlined a minimum level of service to which it expects all careers services, based on the premises of its subscribing institutions, to adhere.

Events
Courses and events run centrally by The Careers Group are held at disabled friendly venues with wheelchair access and induction loops, whenever possible. If this is not possible all effort is made to ensure that users with disabilities are able to participate fully.

Information
We have two help sheets, in our series of Careers Education Leaflets, containing information for Students with Disabilities and Students with Dyslexia.These are available at all The Careers Group offices and on our website.
Our website, www.careers.lon.ac.uk has been built with accessibility in mind (see our accessibility information): we try to include as much information about our services as possible as well as links to employers, recruitment specialists and disability related organisations. On the website we use scalable text. We do not use a fixed font size so that you can increase size of the text using your browser options. We also include alternative text for all important graphics.
Our website complies with the Web Accessibility Initiative Guidelines (WAIG) to Double AA Standards.
All publications produced by The Careers Group can be made available in alternative formats on request. Please ask a member of staff for further details.
Wherever possible we will try and obtain in alternate formats, information that has been provided to us by third parties.
We train our front-line staff to be able to adapt PC settings for maximum accessibility.
The Reach diversity website has been designed to support any UK University of London student who attends a college that is a member of The Careers Group and who feels they face particular barriers to their success. This could be due to their ethnic origin, their disability, social background or any other reason. Reach provides news, events listings, a forum for discussion and links to specialist organisations and schemes.
People
The Careers Group is a member of The Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS), which has a Disabilities Task Group. Staff therefore have telephone and e-mail access to specialists on a range of disabilities.
The Careers Group is a member of the Disability Development Network, a nationwide network of careers staff with an interest in developing careers work with students with disabilities. It aims to share good practice, information and resources.
We have a Diversity and Equal Opportunities Group (DEOG). Its role it is to advise The Careers Group on policy and to collate information and other resources in these areas. The group is responsible for improving access and encouraging good practice in our guidance work with disabled users and for ensuring there is dedicated provision for users with disabilities.
The Head of Information is responsible for gathering information of value to users with disabilities and sharing this with all the College Careers Services.
We are committed to training and developing all staff so that they provide the best possible assistance to you.
