LSHTM 'Charities & NGO's' Careers Information Fair

17th March 2010, 11:00am - 2:00pm, Venue Hall, ULU Building, Malet Street.
An opportunity for you to network with representatives from key organisations in the development sector to gain an insight into what you could do and how you can get in.

Reach is an online community designed for University of London students who feel they face barriers to reaching their potential. These may include social background, disability, age, gender and sexual orientation - it all depends on the individual and the career they are aiming for.

CV guide now available online

This popular publication, How to write a CV, is now available to download as a PDF.

The guide features good and bad examples of CVs, explains what employers are looking for, and also suggests ways to tackle some common tricky issues.

Careers Library: Monday-Friday: 9.30-17.00, Wednesday: 9.30-20.00

Brief Discussions: Monday-Thursday: 14.00-16.30
No appointments, just turn up and sign up.

Wednesday Evenings:* 17.00-19.00 term-time only.

Spring 2010 events schedule
Evening careers seminars are held on Wednesdays in term-time, tackling CVs, interviews and career planning. Click here for upcoming dates. These seminars are held in The Careers Group conference room, 1st floor of Stewart House.
Aptitude tests and personality profiling are also available. These sessions are held within UCL careers service on the 4th floor of the ULU building on Malet Street.

Working in the UK after your studies (Information for International Students)

If you are coming to the end of your studies in the UK, you might be considering the possibility of staying on in the UK to work. This new Information Sheet from the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) explains some of the schemes that are likely to be of particular relevance to students at the end of their studies.
