What is the Careers Information Room?
The Careers Information Room (or Library) is for students, GradClub members and Staff from the colleges SICS serves. We are located on the 1st Floor of Stewart House, Russell Square. Here you will find a huge range of resources providing detailed information on:
- General Career Choice and your options after leaving college
- Writing successful CVs and application forms
- Preparing for Interviews, Assessment Centres and selection tests
- Gaining relevant work experience while you're at college
- Further or Postgraduate Study
- Funding for study
- Destinations of previous graduates
- Working or Studying abroad (including gap year info)
- Specific occupations and job sectors
- Graduate recruiters and Internship providers and what they have to offer you!
So whatever you're planning or even if you haven't got any plans at all, our Careers Information Room will have something to get you started. If you can't find what you are looking for, or need information in alternative formats, experienced information staff are always on hand to help.
Much of this information is FREE to take away, so pop in, help yourself and read through it in your own time.
