Information on Working in the UK


Members of the C2 Education team are not legally allowed to give you immigration advice. However, we do have a number of resources that you can either access online or in our Careers Information Library which should enable you to discover information that applies to you:
The Careers Group, University of London has detailed information on their website for International Students, as well as a bank of resources to access. 

The Prospects website has a comprehensive section for international students covering study options in the UK as well as what your options might be after graduating.
Work Permit information:

The Official UK Work Permit site - hosted by the Border and Immigration Agency website.

UKCISA- The UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) is the UK's national advisory body serving the interests of international students and those who work with them. Their site includes informationa about work permits & immigration.
Other useful resources:

If you want to know about the UK equivalance of your qualifications, try the UK National Academic Recognition Centre (NARIC)

If you need to get a National Insurance number, information is available from the Department of Work and Pensions website
Finally, we have a number of information sheets that can be collected from the Careers Information Library specifically for International Students.
