Peace & Conflict Resolution_

Peace and conflict resolution are areas where the overlap between development work and international politics and diplomacy is particularly strong. Many of the world's conflicts are in areas which also receive particular development attention - conflicts may be in part related to the socioeconomic situation in a region - and because development is vital in post-conflict situations, often to ensure continued peace and stability.  Please note that some of the links and material in this section are related more security and intelligence than International Development

There is a global shortage of experienced and trained peacebuilding personnel. Information for this sector can be found via  the links to the right, the 'Employers' page for visit reports on relevant organisations such as International  Alert and Peace Brigades International and also in the 'Peace & Conflict' section under 'Resources & Links' Other useful resources can be found on our related site careers.lon.ac.uk/policy
'Careers in Conflict' is the title given to the Careers work in the War Studies Department of King's College, London. Careers in Conflict incorporates roles ranging from research oriented work to more direct peacekeeping and security work. Download an overview here.
