Donor Relations_

What does working in donor relations involve?

Charitable Trusts and Foundations. The UK is home to many grant-making organisations that are involved with International Development.

Some will have a permanent and specific orientation to international issues or areas related to International Development such as children or Human Rights.

Others may get involved with the sector as part of a broader remit or on a more ad hoc basis. These include campaigns that distribute funding such as Comic Relief and BBC Children in Need.

Job titles and roles aren't fixed across the sector but grants officers, grant managers and programme managers, for example can all involve working with the sector. Assessing and recommending applications for funding, visiting funded projects and reporting on the outcomes of funding.

Visit the Fundraising section in Roles for more information on this aspect of International Development.
