What do private companies and consultants do?
Growing numbers of consultancies and companies are involved with International Development covering a range of specialities. Larger companies such as Mott Macdonald may offer services in areas as diverse as building, private finance, urban regeneration and communications. Smaller players may specialise in such things as renewable energy or water and sanitation.
Management consultancies such as PKF and Maxwell Stamp are also involved with developing countries. Offering a range of professional services to governments and companies. Much of their work is paid for by donor governments and Development banks.
